Brick

Sandy's movie #9

This movie is like... 21st century Shakespeare. I need to get my hands on the screenplay so I can study and decode the prose. If you can get past the not knowing what the hell anyone's talking about for the first 20 minutes, this a really rewarding movie. Original. Clever. Lukas Haas has a great role. And daaaang, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is growing into a strapping young man-- Maya was right! Digging his brown leather shoes.

Yay, I'm so glad you liked Brick! I definitely plan on rewatching it soon. When we saw it, we were sitting behind the sister of the guy who played the Brain. She was so excited, it was cute. And I'm doing all I can to spread the word of Joseph Gordon-Levitt - in my eyes he can do no wrong. I honestly can't think of any other young actor who has done such solid work. He can burn up the screen without speaking a word. That's such an excellent skill to have!
